Division: Enercare Home and Commercial Services

Location:Birchmount Office (Markham)

The Business Analyst/Project Lead is accountable for managing the initiation, planning, execution and delivery of strategic initiatives.
In this role, the incumbent will work closely with IT and business partners to collect, clarify, and translate business requirements into documentation and conceptual design, from which applications and solutions are developed. This resource will support Enercare Home Services objectives by ensuring new/enhanced processes are effective, accurately documented, tested, understood, implemented and meet the business objectives of clients and partners.


  • Develop or support the development of detailed, structured and complete business requirements and manage the requirements through the project lifecycle
  • Define or support a formal documentation strategy within the project
  • Apply BA tools to document current/future state, including workflow modeling, and use case analysis
  • Facilitate and participate in working sessions to elicit functional & nonfunctional requirements
  • Document current and To-be Business processes and Provide assistance in developing strategies and solutions
  • Provide project management services in the implementation of system and business transformation projects in representation of the operations Conduct constructive meetings/presentations as required to communicate project objectives and manage client expectations across many business unit teams
  • Provide management with project status updates, feedback and appropriate reporting on selected projects through a project tracking system to manage project reviews
  • Promote project success and investigate alternatives when problems are encountered to assess impact to the organization
  • Work with the project team to ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, in scope and with benefits identified, with minimal business interruption, with timely resolution of project issues, and to the satisfaction of the client
  • Lead or support project teams actively and provide individual contribution in problem solving efforts on selected projects to reduce defects, improve customer satisfaction, manage end user impact, reduce cost and increase project efficiency
  • Support feasibility studies, business cases, analysis and documentation of data and processes and provide estimates of work effort and duration for small/medium sized projects
  • Execute projects in part or overall; lead, manage or contribute to small to medium sized business projects to ensure the business process change reflects end-user needs and meets usability and efficiency
  • Partner with business owner/functional leads to identify and document agreed measurement & reinforcement systems to track adoption, utilization and proficiency of individual changes, and achievement of business outcomes
  • Help business sponsorsfulfill role of change leaders to ensure attainment and sustained business outcomes
  • Verify test case reviews for requirements, to ensure sufficient coverage, validation and verification, and formally sign off on these test cases
  • Co-ordinate and participate in user acceptance testing


  • BA/BS - Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent required
  • Experience implementing new systems, especially SAP and SalesForce is an asset.
  • Effectively leads cross functional individuals/teams in preparing and delivering change plans to achieve business outcomes
  • A proven track record of successfully implementing projects in a matrixed environment
  • A passion for working within and supporting change management initiatives in areas such as technology adoption, strategic change and cultural change
  • Sufficient level of technical background to provide highly-credible leadership to development teams and to be able to accurately and objectively evaluate complex project risks and issues
  • Good presentation skills with solid communication capabilities and practices, both oral and written (for specifications and documentation\Ability to collaborate with customers and develop strategies and solutions of high business value
  • Experience developing and leading people including mentoring, coaching, collaborating, and team building
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of business needs with the ability to establish/maintain high level of customer trust and confidence
  • Creative approach to problem-solving with the ability to focus on details while maintaining the “big picture” view
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software (e.g. Word, Excel, Outlook, Project)
  • Ability to co-coordinate diverse projects simultaneously by using effective planning, organization and management skills
  • Ability to ensure the project implementation/execution improves operational efficiency, reduces cost and improves client satisfaction
