The role of the IT Vendor Manager is to establish, maintain and evaluate vendor relationships to reduce risks, align with stakeholders, drive innovation and help deliver competitive IT technology and services advantages to the company. The IT vendor manager supports vendor relationships, negotiations, accounts, invoices and performance management for defined IT suppliers and partners.

Responsibilities:

  • Drives strategic sourcing process of IT vendors and supports the development and implementation of IT vendor service offerings and strategies through research and analysis.
  • Identifies and evaluates vendors adherence to SLA, cost, and performance
  • Collaborates with Procurement, Technical and Business teams for renewals and changes to existing agreements
  • Hosts/Supports vendor management reviews as needed.
  • Delivers briefings to Leadership at regular intervals to help keep them current with changes and performance against existing agreements with vendors.
  • Manages Vendor Risk - Periodic and ad-hoc assessment of the vendors and to ensure that they are complying with agreed upon standards.
  • Monitors Vendor Performance - Develop and maintain standard scorecard to measure vendor performance and communicate and address issues with appropriate stakeholders.
  • Coordinates activities between Finance, and Vendors to ensure all invoices are raised and paid in accordance with vendor agreements.
  • Ensures appropriate stakeholders are informed of contract additions / terminations to enable accurate budget forecasting
  • Coordinates Request for Information and Request for Proposal Processes
  • Negotiates and interprets Service Level Agreements
  • Manages Performance Metrics, incentives and penalties
  • Provides ongoing financial analysis of supplier invoicing

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a business or technical discipline or equivalent experience;
  • 5+ years' related experience within a technical field
  • Experience managing IT vendors
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, ability to clearly and concisely communicate information at multiple levels, adapting easily to change.
  • Ability to manage and analyze budgets, invoices, and related vendor accounts
  • Strong business and technical writing skills producing clear and unambiguous deliverables to all levels of the organization.
  • Dynamic ability to resolve complex issues in an environment of rapid change positively and professionally.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills; ability to balance and effectively prioritize a large set of diverse vendors simultaneously.
