Please note this is a temporary position for one year. 

The Senior Manager, Sales and Marketing, is responsible for establishing strategic direction for the business in order to attract new customers, maintain existing customers with the overall goal to generate revenue for the business. This position leads all sales and client negotiations and is responsible for the operations and staffing of the facility.


Sales and Marketing

  • Responsible for all event sales of Glenn Gould Studio, including external and internal client bookings and events.

  • Responsible for executing the annual business plan in order to achieve revenue targets.

  • Managing the entire event life cycle from client negotiation, planning to staff execution.

  • Analyze consumer/market trends and information, and categories to help identify product categories to enter as future sources of growth.


  • Effectively create and standardize all communications between staff and outside clients in order to achieve streamline business process and communication.

  • Lead and collaborate with technicians and engineers to develop and execute technical aspects of business including leading operational and capital projects.

Relationships and Roles

  • Must create pathways for internal /external cooperation.

  • Develop staff understanding and insight that defines our prime prospects’ needs, attitudes and values in order for consumers to have stronger and more impactful experiences, ultimately creating repeat business.

  • Build trust, value others, communicate effectively, drive execution, foster innovation, focus on the customer, collaborate with others, solve problems creatively and demonstrate high integrity.

  • Proactively establish and maintain effective working team relationships with all suppliers essentially creating a team of promoters working outside the studio but within the public market. 


We are looking for a candidate with the following: 

  • Bachelor degree in marketing, communications, broadcast, hospitality.

  • 5-10 years of sales experience in the marketing and events industry. 

  • Strong business acumen.

  • Have managed portfolio of brands, and  show experience shouldering profit and loss responsibility.

  • Demonstrate budget allocation and oversight, with responsibility to reallocate resources as necessary to track financial goals in past projects.

  • Extensive experience in all aspects of developing and maintaining marketing strategies to meet organizational objectives. 

  • Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements. 

  • Excellent verbal and written communication.

  • Ability to adjust to and work with teams.

  • Ability to drive and inspire. 

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

  • Quick decision-making abilities.

  • Thorough knowledge of competitors' products and services. 

  • Be enthusiastic, self-motivated and outgoing and be able to establish productive relationships with people at all levels.

  • Be innovative and creative to distinguish Glenn Gould Studio from the competition.
