The Omni Delivery team within Channels Technology Solutions leads the delivery of the front-end platforms for a number of strategic, Bank-wide transformational initiatives. The team is responsible for the design, delivery, and integration of systems that facilitate the Marketing, Sales, and Servicing across multiple TD products and servicing channels.

About This Role

We are seeking a highly motivated, self-driven and passionate Sr. Technology Delivery Manager to lead the delivery of the Channels Front-End Technology components for a strategic and transformational initiative. 

The successful candidate will have an end-to-end Omni Channels technology delivery accountabilities that will require an extensive collaboration with various internal and external partners and delivery teams. As the E2E Channels Technology lead, you are required to build, coordinate and execute a delivery plan that ensures commitments are met in an agile and fast-paced environment. 

In this role, you will use your knowledge and experience to establish strong business relationships and work closely with enterprise and application architecture teams to influence and provide guidance on technical architecture and design.

The position manages a varied team of IT professionals and bridges the business and technology gaps, leverages resources across functional or specialized technology areas to ensure end-to-end delivery of agreed upon solutions or services within planned forecasts and cost estimates. You will support a significant business area, product group, enterprise platform, service or capability within a segment CIO or functional area.

Here's some of what you may be asked to perform:

  • Readiness to direct or manage large-scale projects across multiple product lines and businesses, involving significant scope and complexity in an agile and highly interdependent environment.
  • Ability to lead and manage Enterprise Agile delivery programs.
  • Willingness, motivation and ability to set work direction at an operational level, work autonomously in the management of the unit and collaborate with other business or technology leaders to establish and execute on common goals with a medium- to longer-term business perspective.
  • Ability to oversee a sizeable and varied team of technology professionals (e.g., up to 50+ consisting of Application Developers, Solutions Designers, Business Systems Analysts, Specialists, and/or Project Managers) in an integrator role, covering end-to-end delivery of complex projects, system enhancements / applications and/or application or service management.
  • Oversee and report on program/project status, managing project team resources and assignment, ensuring milestones are met and monitoring to keep projects on schedule and to budget within identified standards
  • Lead and manage end-to-end technology solutions for Omni Channels with a clear focus on strategic planning, schedule management, scope, change and issues management, client communication and overall resourcing and financial costs on a longer-term basis.
  • Communicate business vision, goals and portfolio priorities to team members (e.g. Application Owners / Development Managers, Business Systems Analysis, Platform / Service and/or Technology Project Managers etc.).
  • Develop impact assessments, manage delivery schedules, perform risk assessments to consistently manage operational processes (time reporting).
  • Work with project, product and delivery managers to ensure they comply with the capacity forecasting process.
  • Lead the development of total cost of ownership estimates for applications and services, monitor and track to established plans with Finance and Business Management team
  • Assess work plans, identify scheduling issues, report and escalate, as needed.
  • Ensure there's understanding of operational, reputational, and intellectual risks, advise to minimize, escalate if necessary.
  • Provide leadership to attract and retain talent and building a high-performance technology product team.
  • Promote and support an environment that encourages productivity, innovation, teamwork, and a high level of professionalism
  • Coach team members and provide ongoing feedback to ensure achievement of business, department and individual goals

  • University degree in Computer Science and/or engineering or related discipline. 
  • MBA is a plus
  • 10+ years of experience in Technical Program/Project Management and/or Development management and system architecture and design.
  • Excellent presentation, communication, leadership and team building skills 
  • Comfortable and capable of supporting a significant business area, product group, enterprise platform, service or capability under a segment CIO or technology functional area.
  • Track record in vendor engagement and management
