A System Support Specialist is needed for a Contract position for one of our Public Sector clients. This exciting contract opportunity is located Downtown Toronto
The Successful candidate will provide tier 1 and tier 2 support to all staff in areas of end user computing related to PC, telecom and peripherals by analyzing and diagnosing user issues to deliver timely solution.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Provide technical services, support, and consulting for technology users, including home offices, with superior customer service
  • product knowledge of PC hardware and Windows, network printing, departmental file sharing and applications, anti-malware software, networks, projectors, smart phones, and other peripherals.
  • Provide first level technical service and support to all users on telephone and voicemail issues. Responsible for ongoing monitoring/ownership of incidents involving voice communications hardware, software, or features until a satisfactory resolution is found.
  • Interact face-to-face on a daily basis with staff in all areas of the organization, diagnosing problems that may range from an immediate solution to situations involving in-depth research, testing and analysis.
  • Act as lead/participate in planning logistics for installations and configuration of software/hardware in a project environment.
  • Provide technical assistance and support during and after deployment
  • Provide new staff orientation training on PC usages and corporate standards.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum 3 years hands-on face-to-face experience in an end user computing support role in a network environment with excellent knowledge of PC, network, printers and wireless technology
  • Experience in a medium (200+) organization with multiple office locations would be an asset
  • Microsoft Certified Professional designations 3-5 years related industry experience
  • Ability to work in a team environment/collaboration
